Blessed day to all my friends and bredren in the Lord. I would like to share some of my personal thoughts and feelings over the past two weeks.
A lot of our behaviours can change when our mindset changes. This is because our thinking shapes our beliefs, our beliefs affects our behaviour and in turn our behaviour results in action. But all this starts from the way we initially start to look at something and interpret what we see.
As the ole Cliché goes – “Is the Glass half empty or is it half full?”.
The pessimist might say it is half empty while the optimist might say it is half full. But who is right and who is wrong? Well, in a general sense I don’t have a clear answer so I would defer to the philosophical among us to venture a response. But what I do know is, the way we interpret the things we see can make a chasm of difference in our actions. No wonder God’s word tells us that we must be transformed with a renewed mind (Romans 12:2). God is saying that as believers we must start to see things differently and that is through heavens eyes.
Let me share how this thought became more apparent to me recently. I shared one of my blogs with a friend who I hadn’t spoken to in a while and this started a conversation of text messaging pleasantries with the person asking, “how am I doing these days?”. Having this question thrown at me, I immediately started to type the response, “All is well with me”. But was this really the truth or was it the customary default response of “All is well with me” I was giving. Well let’s be honest, it was a default response and I was being reserved in expressing my true state since the week before was a very difficult one for me.
So, I liberally used the delete button and started to erase. The first thing I had to erase was my thinking (Romans 12:2). What I am going through might be taking me by surprise, but it is not taking God – the author and finisher of our faith. I had to remind myself that aren’t you with God and isn’t God with you. I had to let go of seeing myself as the victim and stop accepting the invitations to this Pity Party.
Once I erased my thinking of “why me” and replaced it with “why not me” my perspective began to change.
Romans 8:28 (KJV) – 28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
Then I started to deleted my previous message of “All is well with me” and joyfully replaced it with “ALL IS AS IT SHOULD BE!”. All is as it should be is a more accurate reflection of the season I am in, difficult yes, trying yes, stressful yes, but because God is with me – Hallelujah ALL IS AS IT SHOULD BE.
If God is allowing this season as he did with Job and so many other great men of God before me then why shouldn’t I fully embrace it. If God is allowing it, who are you and I to disavow it.
Psalm 34:19 (KJV) – 19 Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the Lord delivereth him out of them all.
PS: Dane Miller was last seen saying that he is going to continually adopt a glass is half Full and getting fuller mindset because God is with him and He will never leave him nor forsake him. – All is as it should be.

We question, worry, fret and lose sleep over things we can’t control. But if Jesus Christ is the author and finisher of our faith then whatever circumstances befall us our response must be, “It is all as it should be.” Difficult to swallow but it is hard, cold facts. Thanks for the poignant reminder 🙏

I must say this was a bit more than just a read for me. This came in a very timely manner and I’ll take this as one of the many answers to my prayers for direction and guidance. This really made me think further about my mentality and reminded me of something so simple yet effective.

Very good read. “There is a thinking stuff from which all things are made; which in its original state permeates and penetrates and fills the inter space of the universe. A thought (What takes place in your mind) produces the thing that is imaged by the thoughts “. Wallace D Wattles (The Science Of Getting Rich).
