On the 14th of June, 2017 God allowed me to publish my first book called:
This book was definitely a journey and it awakened my appetite for expressing God’s word. Coupled with this, every writer must transition from author to book marketer/advertiser. While marketing I realized that Christian readers are being flooded with inspirational and motivational books as opposed to core biblical literature.
I was also surprised to learn that there was a new thriving genre called “Christian Fiction” and the Christian (Non-Fiction) genre was dwindling. All this had me concerned and questioning the type and quality of Christian content available to believers. It seemed to me that there was a falling away and a diluting of the pure and unadulterated words of God and it was being replaced by various forms of things (Proverbs 30:5, 2 Timothy 3:1-5, Deuteronomy 4:2). Therefore, to stave off this emerging trend and continue with my new-found passion of sharing God’s words, Dane Miller the blogger was born.
Be it authoring, blogging or preaching, my desire is to be a master teacher of God’s word. In my heart I long to be like Ezra when he said, “For Ezra had devoted himself to the study and observance of the Law of the Lord, and to teaching its decrees and laws in Israel. (Ezra 7:10 -NIV)”.
I also strongly believe in Hosea 4:6 which says, “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge”. Therefore, I have committed myself to studying the word of God and becoming a life-long learner and teacher in all aspects. This also holds true from a secular standpoint whereby God allowed me to obtain a BSc in Computer Science, a BA in International Business Administration and an Executive MBA. I believe God’s people must excel in all they put their hands to do whether it be earthly or heavenly!
Apart from studying and teaching my deep passions are helping others and evangelizing.
I hope and pray that this blog and the book which God gave me to write blesses your heart. I welcome your feedback, so feel free to liberally comment on any of my blog post. Iron sharpens Iron (Proverbs 27:17) so the more we communicate and share the more all of us can grow and mature in our Lord!
Your Brother and Servant in the Lord
